With its win over Washington, LSU has now won 20 straight non-conference games, a streak that dates back to the start of the 2005 season. LSU coach Les Miles is a perfect 20-0 in non-conference games at LSU. The 20-game non-conference winnings streak ranks first nationally.

LSU’s last non-conference loss came during the 2004 season when Iowa scored on the final play of the game to beat LSU, 30-25, in the Capital One Bowl. LSU hasn’t lost a regular season non-conference contest since dropping a 26-8 decision to Virginia Tech in the 2002 season opener.
